BLOOD DONORS

The Texas Department of Health states that there are no guidelines for donating blood after getting a tattoo. The various agencies that accept blood donations make their own guidelines as to how long someone has to wait before giving blood after receiving a tattoo. Please ask the establishment where you give blood how long you will have to wait until you may give blood again BEFORE getting your tattoo.

HOW MUCH DO TATTOOS COST?

My minimum is $50.00. I charge $125.00 an hour.  

WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE?

Everybody's different. Some people it hurts more than others. Nevertheless, it hurts me, so, I'm pretty sure it'll hurt you. Tighten your diaper and let's ride.

CAN I GET A DISEASE FROM A TATTOO?

Basically, yes, you can. But you can catch something from a paper cut too. It's all about how clean you are once you leave. 

My needles are single-use and come in pre-sterilized blister packs. I don't re-use them. My tubes are either disposable or if I'm using a stainless tube, it is autoclaved after use. The autoclave I use is third party spore tested each month to make sure it's working properly and you are safe. I never re-use ink. I use barrier protection and practice Universal Precautions. 

If you are a dirty bastard and apply your aftercare product without washing your hands, if you go swimming before your tattoo has had a chance to heal, if you let other people touch your fresh tattoo, if you let your dog lick it or your kid touch if after they've fingered their butt, then yes, you'll probably get sick. Keep it clean.

CAN I GET A TATTOO IF I AM UNDER 18?

Not in the State of Texas.

CAN I SIGN FOR MY UNDERAGE CHILD TO GET A TATTOO?

"An artist may NOT tattoo a person younger than 18 years of age without consent from the individual's parent or guardian who determines it to be in the best interest of the minor child to cover an existing tattoo. (1) The existing tattoo must contain: (A) obscene or offensive language or symbols; (B) gang-related names, symbols, or markings; (C) drug related names, symbols, or pictures; or (D) some other type of words, symbols or markings that the court considers would be in the best interest of the minor to cover." Texas State Health Department Guidelines. 

I won't tattoo your kid regardless of the circumstance or situation. If your kid's tattoo is that offensive, get it removed.

CAN I GET A TATTOO WITHOUT AN I.D.?

Not in The State of Texas. You must present a current government issued state I.D. card, driver license, military I.D. card or passport to prove your age. School I.D.'s, Fiesta cards, birth certificates, Sam's cards, social security cards and pay stubs don't cut it.

CAN I GET A TATTOO IF I AM PREGNANT/BREAST FEEDING?

I won't tattoo someone who is pregnant or breast feeding or who thinks she may be pregnant. Allergic reactions to anything (like strawberries, for example) can vary from mild itching to anaphylactic shock and even death. Reactions to the ink or anything else I may use doesn't happen very often but a risk is still a risk. When a woman is pregnant, her body changes. This is why some women become diabetic only when they are pregnant. Because of these changes, a pregnant woman may have a reaction to something that never bothered her before. In addition, a tattoo is an open wound at risk of infection. An infection could be passed to the baby or if antibiotics are required, the medication will be passed, compromising the baby's health as well as the mother's.

I WANT ONE, BUT I'M A WIMP. CAN I GET DRUNK OR HIGH FIRST OR CAN I TAKE A PILL?

This isn't surgery. I'm abrading your skin, not cutting it open. If you're drunk, you'll move more, bleed more, misunderstand the aftercare and have problems (puking, passing out, etc.). Just tighten up your diaper and don't be a pussy.

COLOR ALWAYS FADES, SHOULD I JUST GET BLACK INK INSTEAD?

When a tattoo heals, your skin grows over the pigment. So, when you look at your tattoo, you're seeing it through your skin color. The darker your skin, the harder it is to see the tattoo. Black ink just shows through darker skin better. 

For lighter skinned peoples: When the tattoo is new and you tan, only the darker color of the skin makes the tattoo appear muted. But as the tattoo and your skin age, continued tanning will cause permanent damage to the tattoo (and your skin). That's why we get wrinkles, sun spots and cancer. You can get the tattoo re-colored but if you continue to tan, you'll be defeating the purpose. 

For darker skinned peoples: The darker your skin, the more muted the tattoo pigment will be, no matter how many times you get it re-colored. Make sure to ask what colors will work best with your skin tone.

All skin tones can get darker with exposure to the sun. By keeping sunscreen on your tattoos, you'll help preserve the pigment and the original color of the skin over the tattoo thereby keeping the tattoo as bright as your natural skin color will allow. 

WHAT COLORS WILL LOOK BEST ON MY SKIN?

That'll depend on the shade of skin. Because there are so many different shades, there's no way to say until I see your skin. 

 I WANT A TATTOO ON MY FOOT!

I'll do it, but feet don't always hold ink or heal like other parts of the body so I can't guarantee it.  But I will NOT tattoo your stinky toes.

I DON'T SEE ANYTHING I WANT ON YOUR WALLS, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Bring something in like t-shirts, bumper stickers, candy wrappers, jewelry, books, CD covers, something you've drawn, etc.  Have a look at the links page, you may find something your interested in there. Or I can draw something for you.

I WANT A BODY SUIT, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Pre-planning prevents piss-poor performance! 

I WANT MY GIRLFRIEND/BOYFRIENDS NAME!

Dumbass. Most relationships don't last as long as the tattoo will. 

I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY FOR THE ONE I WANT, SO I'LL GET THIS OTHER ONE INSTEAD!

You'll never pay so little for something you'll have so long. Never settle. Layaway available. 

YOU'RE THE ARTIST, DO WHAT YOU WANT!

The last time I did what I wanted, I tattooed a half eaten taco on somebody's forehead. 

CAN I HAVE A COPY OF THAT DESIGN?

Hell no. It's mine. Draw your own.

CAN YOU FIX MY TATTOO?

If you fix my wallet, I'll fix your tattoo.

CAN YOU COVER MY OLD TATTOO WITH A NEW ONE?

If you cover my palm with cash, I'll cover your tattoo.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I PICK OR SCRATCH MY TATTOO?

You risk scarring, discoloration, longer healing times, infection and loss of color.
